Netone is a community tool developed and designed with two specific target groups in mind. Musicians/Producers and the surrounding machinery that employs them.
Netone meets the increasing need of sharing recorded music with your
producer, record label or co-writer without having to exceed your mailbox,
send CD´s or hand out access codes to your company’s FTP server.
A membership is free at Netone along with the unlimited use of file sharing
and networking. Logged in status is only required when interacting with listed members. As far as your profile is concerned, Netone therefore works as a
personal website, accessible to any visitor.
Using Netone is simple. The quick message function works just like your ordinary
mail program with the possibility to attach large files, for example a mix of a finished production or a simple guitar track.
You can add colleagues to your contact list or just scroll among the users when connecting with other members.
The typical Netone user would be a producer looking for live strings for a song.
Pushing the Strings icon he/she would find the arrangers or musicians available
and a contact would be made. After the completed session the arranger would send the recorded music to the producer in the agreed format, via the Quick message function, or the mailing system found under Messages. Allowed file extensions are WAV, MP3, AIFF, RAR and ZIP, each one with a maximum filesize of 200 000KB (~200 MB)
Another scenario would be an A&R for a label anxious to hear the premixes
of an ongoing production, or a musical director sending out tracks to prepare his band.
What’s the charge? Fees and payments are negotiated by the parties involved in each job or session and are totally out of Netone’s control or interest.
Prices are very shifting throughout different parts of the world and Netone stands totally neutral in the issue.
Netone does not play any role in invoicing or charging. We only supply you the free service and it’s going to stay that way.
